When two people are like-minded, there tends to be a bond between them and an ease of expressing their thoughts and feelings. Trust is a given. It is no different in our relationship with our Father in Heaven. God loves it when His children want to talk with Him and spend time with Him.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For many, prayer is just a person \u201ctelling God what they want or need\u201d\u2026 which is perfectly fine at times\u2026 but this does not define prayer at all, and if anything is the shallower portion. It is a \u201crelationship\u201d with us that God desires.\u00a0 He wants us to seek His face\u2026 not His hands. He wants us to know Him and love Him, for who He is\u2026\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, God does in fact, want us to \u201cask\u201d when we have a need or even a desire.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In one verse of the Bible, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #ff0000;\">Philippians 4:6<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Paul tells us \u201chow\u201d to ask. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #ff0000;\">\u201cDo not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by PRAYER and petition, WITH THANKSGIVING, present your requests to God.\u201d <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A thankful heart shows faith, trust and confidence in the goodness of God, that He will always do what is best for us.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In another verse, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #ff0000;\">John 15:7<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, it reads <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #ff0000;\">\u201cIf you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ASK whatever you wish, and it will be done for you\u201d.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 What a powerful promise! Of course, it is conditional on us abiding in His words. The more we live in and around His Word, the better we will know Him\u2026 how He thinks\u2026 what He desires\u2026 and ultimately what His will is for us in any situation. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ae69239 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"ae69239\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-settings=\"{&quot;_animation&quot;:&quot;none&quot;}\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">\u0391\u03ba\u03bf\u03cd\u03b3\u03bf\u03bd\u03c4\u03b1\u03c2 \u03c4\u03b7 \u03c6\u03c9\u03bd\u03ae \u03c4\u03bf\u03c5 \u0398\u03b5\u03bf\u03cd<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0621851 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0621851\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-settings=\"{&quot;_animation&quot;:&quot;none&quot;}\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A very revealing story is found in the Old Testament in <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #ff0000;\">1 Kings 19:12<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">.<\/span> The prophet Elijah is hiding out in a cave and experiences three dramatic and powerful forces of nature\u2026 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #ff0000;\">wind, an earthquake, and fire<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u2026<\/span> and yet the scriptures tell us, <\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c\u2026but the Lord was not in\u201d<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\"> them. The verse goes on to read <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cand then I heard the sound of a \u201cGENTLE WHISPER\u201d<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">.<\/span> Clearly, the Lord is wanting us to understand that His voice is soft and gentle, requiring a discerning and attentive ear to recognize.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The PEACE of God\u2026 or the lack of it\u2026\u00a0 is one of the most powerful tools a believer has for knowing God\u2019s voice and even His will for us in the choices and decisions of life. Here is an important verse to memorize, meditate on and apply to our daily lives to keep us in the will of God.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #ff0000;\">\u201cLet the peace of God rule in your hearts\u201d Colossians 3:15<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The word \u201crule\u201d here translates from the Greek language as \u201cumpire or referee\u201d. In baseball terms, this verse might translate to \u201cLet God\u2019s peace in your heart call the \u2018balls and strikes\u2019\u201d.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">God desires to guide us every step of the way. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #ff0000;\">Romans 8:14 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">reads<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #ff0000;\"> \u201cThey that are LED BY THE SPIRIT are the children of God.\u201d <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Notice that the Holy Spirit does not \u201cpush\u201d or \u201cforce\u201d us into the will of God, but rather He goes out ahead of us and leads us. It is our part to \u201cfollow\u201d His lead.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We see this in <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #ff0000;\">John 10<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, where Jesus says concerning the Good Shepherd\u2026 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #ff0000;\">\u201cthe sheep HEAR HIS VOICE\u201d <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and again <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #ff0000;\">\u201cthe sheep FOLLOW HIM, for they KNOW HIS VOICE.\u201d<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is clearly God\u2019s desire for us to KNOW His voice\u2026 and even more so that we learn to FOLLOW His gentle leading.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0b15db4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"0b15db4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-settings=\"{&quot;_animation&quot;:&quot;none&quot;}\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">\u03a0\u03c1\u03bf\u03c3\u03b5\u03c5\u03c7\u03ad\u03c2 \u03c0\u03bf\u03c5 \u03b1\u03c0\u03b1\u03bd\u03c4\u03ce\u03bd\u03c4\u03b1\u03b9<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-87b9ef1 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"87b9ef1\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-settings=\"{&quot;_animation&quot;:&quot;none&quot;}\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has been said that the number one reason prayers are not answered is that they were \u201cnever prayed!\u201d.\u00a0 Of course, this is a play on words, but there is an element of truth here. Hoping for\u2026 Thinking about\u2026 Wishing for\u2026 are not praying. We need to ASK\u2026<\/span><\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #ff0000;\">\u201cYou don\u2019t have because you don\u2019t ask\u201d James 4:2<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also, our prayers need to be consistent with God\u2019s revealed will. The verse below clearly shows how vitally important it is for us to be often in His Word\u2026 so we can KNOW His will\u2026 and then have our prayers answered.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #ff0000;\">\u201cThis is the confidence we have in approaching God: that If we ask anything ACCORDING TO HIS WILL, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us \u2013 whatever we ask \u2013 we know that WE HAVE WHAT WE ASKED of Him.\u201d I John 5:14-15<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another condition is that we need to BELIEVE that we will in fact receive what we are asking for. Jesus went so far as to say that we need to believe that we have already received it\u2026 in faith.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #ff0000;\">\u201cWhatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.\u201d Mark 11:24<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">God loves faith\u2026<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f8f818e elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"f8f818e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-settings=\"{&quot;_animation&quot;:&quot;none&quot;}\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">\u03a7\u03c4\u03af\u03b6\u03bf\u03bd\u03c4\u03b1\u03c2 \u03bc\u03b9\u03b1 \u03bf\u03b9\u03ba\u03b5\u03af\u03b1 \u03c3\u03c7\u03ad\u03c3\u03b7 \u03bc\u03b5 \u03c4\u03bf\u03bd \u0398\u03b5\u03cc<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-21f90eb elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"21f90eb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-settings=\"{&quot;_animation&quot;:&quot;none&quot;}\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">God wants us to pursue Him\u2026 to seek Him\u2026 God wants us to love Him and desire to be with Him, not for what we can get from Him, but just because we love Him.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #ff0000;\">\u201cDraw near to God, and He will draw near to you.\u201d James 4:8<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is a promise\u2026 and we can be confident that God will keep His part.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">God desires closeness and intimacy with us.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #ff0000;\">\u201cI no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master\u2019s business. \u00a0 \u00a0 Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.\u201d John 15:15<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jesus shows us the way<\/span><\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u201cHe (Jesus) went up on a mountainside by Himself to pray.\u00a0 When evening came, He was there alone.\u201d Matthew 14:23<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(alone with His Father)<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Like any good relationship, it requires time alone with each other. And not because of duty, but because of desire.\u00a0 You want to be with each other.
