Heaven Series #5<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCan those who have gone to heaven see what happens on earth?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I believe they can… The scriptures don\u2019t give us many references on this, but there are a few.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I shared in my previous post, in Luke, chapter 15<\/strong>, when a person here on earth gives their heart to Jesus, the scriptures tell us that there is \u201crejoicing in heaven\u201d… but notice that it says that this rejoicing is \u201cIN THE PRESENCE of the angels\u201d… not \u201cBY the angels\u201d. This is not to say that the angels are not rejoicing as well, but Jesus seems to express that there were those who were rejoicing in the angels\u2019 presence. And who would those be? Most assuredly, the family members and loved ones of the person who came to Christ!… and the ones who had invested in that person during their lifetime would surely be a part of that celebration as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, in Hebrews 12:1<\/strong>, the author speaks of a \u201cgreat cloud of witnesses<\/em>\u201d. These are generally considered to be those who have gone on before us\u2026 and by some heavenly revelation are at times able to see us in our activities here\u2026  Billy Graham wrote: \u201cThe book of Hebrews pictures life as a great arena with those who have gone before us cheering us on in our daily spiritual struggles\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another verse is Revelation 6:10<\/strong>, which appears to confirm that believers in heaven are not only AWARE of what happens on earth, but that they can actually APPEAL to God to act on behalf of the believers still on the earth. In this example, God appears to say yes, but that they must wait a little while for their request to come to pass. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Personally, I like to think that my loved ones are still mindful of me as I finish out my life here. As Randy Alcorn states in his book, \u201cWe can\u2019t see heaven, but heaven can see us.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s give them something to cheer about… and be the cause of some celebrations in heaven! \u201cLet your light shine before men…\u201d   Jesus<\/p>\n\n\n\n
